Thank you for all your support this year. The children have worked really hard and this shows in the results for the school. We are extremely proud to say that at the end of Reception 71% of the children achieved a 'Good level of development'. This percentage has risen massively over the last few years.
In the phonics test at the end of Year 1 66.7% of our children passed the test and at the end of Year 2 67.9% attained expected or better in reading, 50% in writing and 67.9% in maths.

Monkeys had a super time on our recent trip to Krazy Kingdom with Rabbits. A big thank you to the mums, and dad, that came with us to help us get there and back safely - we hope you had a good time too.
We are continuing our work on Living Things this half-term and learning about animals and minibeasts, especially what they are called and where we might see them. We are using pictures of animals to learn to talk about and compare measurements such as long and short, heavy and light, and big and small. We have been very busy making cards to share with our families for Father's Day and for Eid and we hope everyone has a lovely time together on these special days.
We are also starting to make visits to nursery to meet our new keyworkers and make new friends for when we move there in September.
And finally, Miss Roberts and Mrs Fozia would like to thank their children and parents for all their support and hard work over the last school year and wish you all well as you continue on your journey in our school. We couldn't do it without you!
We can’t believe the school year is nearly over and the Elephants will be soon be moving to the ‘Green’ school. The Elephants and Rabbits had a brilliant time on our trip to Krazy Kingdom, they were all so sensible and made Mrs Lowe and Miss Roberts very proud.
This term our topic is living things, animals and mini beasts, we are going to make our own animals using different materials and will be going on a minibeast hunt in our nature area, I wonder what we will find? The Elephants and Rabbits will be looking at a range of books to find out about different animals and talking about their favourite animals.
Soon we will be celebrating Eid and having an Eid party with our friends, it will be lots of fun because we love to dance!
We cannot wait to learn lots of new things this term.

We have loved having Roar in with us on a Thursday. We are very excited to perform in front of the rest of the school and our parents.
We are also looking forward to the last few weeks of term, where we will be taking part in lots of exciting activities.

We can’t believe it has come to the last few weeks of our time in this school however; we are very excited for the next part of our journey. We really enjoyed our visit to Headfield Junior School we got to explore all of the outdoor area and meet some of the year 3 children. We particularly enjoyed the exercise equipment and I think some of our adults did too. We had some year 3 children come see us, they used to come here too and we asked them lots of questions about Headfield Junior School they told us all about the wonderful things that happen there. We will get to meet our new teachers soon.
We are looking forward to the final week of school because our teachers have said there is a fun activity planned for everyday to give us a chance to relax and celebrate all the hard work we have done over the year.
This term we are learning all about animals, we are creating our own chosen animal fact file and we will be writing a report on how to look after pets. We are investigating what animals eat and using the correct terminology to classify them are they a herbivore, omnivore or carnivore? We will be sorting animals into their different categories and finding out information using the internet and non-fiction books.
In art we have made our own moving animals learning new D & T skills with Mrs Lee. We have been looking after our vegetable planter and we can see the different vegetables growing the children are very good at reminding each other who needs to water the plants. All the children have enjoyed the PE sessions learning new skills and practising juggling they are getting very good at this.
We are all looking forward to our ARTIS end of year show and performing in front of our parents and friends. We have a busy fun packed next few weeks till the end of term and want to enjoy it and make the most of it!
