Everyone has worked incredibly hard in school this year, which shows in the achievements of each class in school. Thank you to all our parents for all your support, not just with homework but all attending all our events each term. It is lovely to see so many of you in school each week.
Good luck to our Year 2 children leaving us. I’m sure you will all go onto to thrive in your new school and do well. We have enjoyed having you all with us over the last 4 years, seeing you grow up and gain confidence. Keep up all your enthusiasm and excellent behaviour!
This half-term is very busy and exciting for Monkeys! We have lots going on such as our trip to Krazy Kingdom with our nursery friends and visits to the nursery to see where some of us will be moving to after the summer holidays. We are still learning about different types of animals and minibeasts and can't wait for our caterpillars to spin their cocoons and turn into beautiful butterflies - The Hungry Caterpillar has been one of our favourite stories. We are also enjoying moving like different animals in our music sessions and looking forward to baking some butterfly buns to share with our families. We continue to have fun with our phonics and number activities too, and are finding out about different ways of measuring things - we would like you to help us practice new words to help us do this such as 'long, short, tall, heavy, light, full and empty.'
And finally, just to say a big thank you to our children and families in playgroup - you are always very supportive and we are so proud of your children who are happy and confident learners. We couldn't do it without you! Have a lovely, safe and happy summer holiday together and we look forward to seeing you all again in September!

We can’t wait to see them when they become butterflies!
